Not only is my sister, Linda Kay, an incredible artist, but she makes the best biscuits ever! Looks can be deceiving, but believe me, these are the lightest, flakiest, most heavenly biscuits on the planet!

INGREDIENTS
5 cups Self-rising flour
1⁄4 cup Sugar
3⁄4 cup Margarine
1 teaspoon Baking soda
2 cups Buttermilk
2 packages Yeast (dissolved in 1⁄4 cup 115° to 125° F water)
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 450° F (The oven must be really hot or them biscuits won't rise up real nice.)
Dissolve the packages of yeast in the hot water. You better have a candy thermometer to check the water temperature or the biscuits will come out like rocks.
Combine dry ingredients.
Cut in butter.
Stir in milk and yeast (dissolved).
Pat or roll out with rolling pin or glass to 1 to 11⁄2 inches thick. Don't overwork the dough or the biscuits will be hard. Just pat out.
Cut out with round cookie cutter (or with the rim of a drinkin’ glass).
Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 450° F for about 10 minutes.
Me and my sister, Linda. Aren’t we two little angels!
